‘You should post your work…’

A friend encouraged me to post some of my work on social media. At the time, I was mama to a very young tribe of five, showering had become a rare gift, and we were living in a condo. Albeit, a fine condo, shared walls and limited space none the less. While the littles were entranced by an episode of the Little Einstein’s, I would re-think our surroundings, trying desperately to maximize space. Making the best of what we had become both a functional necessity as well as a creative escape. Fast forward, I took my friend’s advice and began posting and I received tons of positive encouragement. Around the same time, IKEA reached out to me and our condo ended up being featured in their UK online magazine, IKEA Family Live. Moral of the story, listen to your friends advice, it may open up some unexpectedly awesome doors.
